Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your email address, for sign-in. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider, and we never see them.
- A sign-in cookie, and cookies with your chosen warehouse and country. The app keeps your warehouse on your phone.
- Your warehouse and country, watchlist, cart, and plan or trial details.
- Receipts you scan or type: the text read from them (items, prices, totals, date and warehouse). In the app, receipt photos are read on your phone and the photo itself is not kept.
- Daily usage records (pages viewed per day) to run fair-use limits and stop abuse. Visitors who are not signed in are recorded only as a one-way code made from the IP address, never the address itself.
- A one-way code of your email when you start a free trial, and a one-way code of the network you signed up from. These help stop repeat free trials and fake accounts.
- In the app, a one-way code of your phone's app ID when you start a free trial, so a trial can be used once per phone. The ID itself is not kept.
- In the app, when you browse without an account, a guest ID made by our sign-in provider, the items and searches you view per day, and a one-way code of your network. These run the guest daily limit and stop abuse. Guest IDs not used for 30 days are deleted.
A ZIP code you type in the store finder is used only to find nearby warehouses and is not saved.
We use your IP address to estimate your approximate city, to show the right country's prices and to pick or suggest a nearby warehouse. If you have not chosen a warehouse, we pick the closest one and save it as your warehouse. You can change it any time. The location estimate itself is made on our own server and is not saved or shared.
In the app, if you tap "Use my location", your phone's location is used once to find the nearest warehouse. The location itself is not saved or sent to us, only the warehouse you end up choosing.
Hosting and security data
Our hosting provider may process technical request data, such as IP address, browser type and security signals, for hosting and bot protection.
How we use data
To sign you in, show prices for your warehouse, keep your lists and receipts, find price adjustments, send emails you ask for (such as password resets), enforce plan limits, and keep the service reliable and free of abuse.
Service providers
We share data only with the companies that run our database, sign-in and hosting (Supabase and [HOSTING PROVIDER]), and only so they can provide those services.
Data sales and ad tracking
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. There are no third-party ad trackers on the website.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from My plan (website) or Settings (app). Your data is kept for 30 days in case you change your mind, and signing in during that time restores it. After 30 days it is deleted for good. We keep only the one-way trial codes (email and phone), to stop repeat free trials, and anything the law requires. Usage records and sign-up network codes are removed after 90 days. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or for deletion, at [PRIVACY EMAIL].
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state, including California, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted ads. We don't sell it or use it that way, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. Email [PRIVACY EMAIL] to use these rights. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Children
WarehouseDeals is not for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
